EASTERN STAR WARM-UP LUNCHEON
Masonic Lodge Hall will host the Eastern Star Luncheon on Thursday January 18th from 11:30 to 3 pm. Soup and Grilled Cheese or Chili and Bun, desert, tea and coffee. There will be a bake table, cookie walk and white elephant???

Now on at the arena, this runs Tuesdays from 2:00pm – 3:00pm, Fridays from 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Saturdays from 4:00pm – 5:00pm and Sundays from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.
The walking program will continue throughout the holidays Monday through Friday mornings from 8:30am – 10:00am and Monday through Thursday evenings from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. The cost for the walking program is $1.00/walk.

The Walk for Alzheimer’s is scheduled indoors at ELSS on Saturday, Feb 3rd 2018. Registration takes place at noon and the walk begins at 1-2:00. If you think you'd like to put in a team, please contact Tanya Cook, Community Outreach Co-ordinator at: 705-848-8145
Knights of Columbus are presenting a night of inspirational music with tenor Richard Valadez, to take place on Feb 11, 2018 at the Our Lady of Fatima church 6:45pm sharp. This is a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus and for the many good deeds they support. Tickets are $20, and can be bought at St Vincent de Paul or at the church after weekend masses. It promises to be a great night for music lovers.
11th Annual Ice Fishing Derby will be on February 17th from 12:00- 3:00 p.m. on Horne Lake. Cost $113 per hole which includes HST. Registration is at the Elliot Lake Welcome Centre or the Elliot Lake Trading Post. The ice is solid and ready to go….

18-1: Being a By-Law to permit a communal living facility for women, with a five bedroom limit at 46 Lawrence Ave.
18-2: Being a By-Law to permit a temporary six bed shelter for men and families at 241 Mississauga Ave.
Community Hub / Recreation Complex
Council passed a Resolution that the City of Elliot Lake approve the cost analysis for the Multi-Use Community Hub which includes all requested components (option F of the Business Case) at a total cost of $40,956,829 and that the appropriate grant applications be submitted.
This being the final piece of the overall puzzle, the fate of this project will now be in the hands of Senior Government.
